Earth to Everyone is a handbound hexagonal book I wrote and designed documenting the history in mapping the world from the beginning of time until present day. It recounts the milestones, scholarly perspectives, interesting facts, and relevant terms and innovations as well as a running counter narrative on the subject. The book is perforated with a French fold. Once it is read, all 54 pages can be torn out to reveal typographic map tiles. Each tile displays a single type of information, emphasizing the diverse range of data that can be held on a map, but also the irrelevancy of each piece without further contextualization. The tiles can be reassembled into a wall-sized map of the world that can be organized with various cores and peripheries depending on the one's preference.
